For confusing times!

Elimination is one of the powerful methods of defining the problem or what one wants. As they say if you don’t know the problem what will you solve? Or if you don’t know what you want what will go after?

By elimination you can reach closer to defining a problem.

While we struggle to define and stand for something whether it is for ourselves or a brand, it would be interesting to try elimination strategy!

Say what you are not, say what the brand doesn’t stand for and soon it will be clear, what you are or what the brand stands for.

It is a flexible approach in a fast changing times. This could also allow a brand to evolve with changing times.

I know I know, it doesn’t sound that cool but it’s a good starting point.:)Try it.

Pink

Pink is not a Barbie dress.
It could be a fridge, a camera or a laptop?
Pink is pretty.

U ME & US

Every couple checks whether there is enough’ me’ space or ‘U’ space in a relationship or so the trend suggests. ‘Give space to each other’ screams the magazine articles. But I wonder what happens to ‘Us’ in all this?

If you notice in most cases ‘I am like this’, ‘U r like that’ arguments often turn ‘Giving space to each other’ into ‘Keep distance’

All one needs to check is whether there is enough ‘US’ space and U & I can follow!

Can you do nothing?

A: Can you do nothing?
B: Yes.
A: What does doing nothing mean?
B: Well, nothing means not working
A: But I am asking if u can do nothing?
B: OK you mean not even play, or watch movie or read?
A: Why is it so difficult to understand a simple question – I mean nothing! NOTHING!
B: Oh you mean just sit and chat?
A: No. Nothing.
B: U mean just sit and not even talk? What if I am hungry?
A: Say you will not be hungry also and u r doing nothing.
B: That sounds really difficult. Guess I will die if I were to do nothing.
A: Can you do nothing?
C: Humm never thought of it.
A: What does doing nothing mean?
C: Well I guess relaxing
A: Good. What does relaxing mean?
C: All the things that u can’t do while you are at work
A: Is it doing nothing?
C: Guess its doing more things
A: Can you do nothing?
D: to do that I need to finish doing something
A: Now you are talking
D: I would love to do nothing. I guess I am not ready for it yet.

Happiness Kidneys

Happiness is like kidneys, if one fails you don’t die. You can continue to stay happy. Let me explain. Just like how we have two kidneys there are two types of happiness.

1. Dependent happiness
2. Independent happiness

Dependent happiness is more common and often understood as the only way to be happy. Basically the nature of this happiness is such that it is controlled by others. It is outside you. In most cases it’s your lover, husband etc. or other examples could be your parents and friends. We are all so used to this type of happiness that when we fail in this, which is not so unusual. Everyone at least once goes though it, and when it happens then we chose to remain unhappy and believe that everything else would be a compromise.

The other type is independent happiness which is less acknowledged by masses and considered as the one for intellectuals, a kind of theoretic. In simple terms this kind of happiness is not depended on anything outside you. Here ‘You’ control and the happiness comes from within. It is a different kind and most of us make mistake of trying to look for the earlier kind in this one. They are different. I mean this can not take place of the ‘dependent happiness’ and vis-à-vis the other can not take place of this one. This one is a little difficult as it takes a while to trust ourselves and take charge of ourselves. We are not so used to it eh!

The ideal would be to have both. They are mutually exclusive. But the interesting part is you still can live happily with only one.

Its time you checked your ‘Happiness Kidneys’?

Just BE

When the absence is most present
When memories walk into future
When virtual and real, live in same world
When heart becomes mind
And mind becomes heart
Just be. Don’t come back
There isn’t anything for ya here my dear
